His Story in History
Studying history can be boring, scary, embarrasing, confusing or even make us feeling angry. However, it is said that those who do not know their history are doomed to make the same mistakes. If this is true, then knowing history gets bumped up on the list of priorities.
But what do we hope to gain by studying history? Is it simply to not make the same mistakes again? We suggest there is another reason to study history: to learn about God and His story in history.
This is exactly what we hope to do as we study the book of 1st Kings. So join us as we dive into the history of Israel to understand His Story in History and how my story and your story fit into this grand narrative.
