Threads - Sermon Series
Our God delights to reveal himself, and the climax of that revelation is Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. The compilation of God’s self-revelation is found in the pages of Scripture. As the Finland Mennonite Church faith statement reads: “The point of the Bible is God, who is fully revealed in Jesus Christ; and the purpose of the Bible is to transform us into the image of Christ.”
If this is true, then the entire Old Testament leads to the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, while the New Testament flows out from that culmination. Throughout this series, we will trace this primary trajectory and explore how other threads in Scripture weave their way to Jesus and are transformed in Him.
